Why Compete?

Competitions are about more than ribbons. They are about pushing your skills, getting noticed, and gaining valuable feedback from top industry professionals. Groomers who compete often say it was a turning point in their career.

Here’s why many choose to enter:

  • Improve your technique under pressure

  • Get feedback from certified judges

  • Stand out professionally

  • Build confidence in your skills

  • Inspire others and be inspired yourself

Whether you place or not, you will walk away a stronger, more confident groomer.

Many groomers hesitate to enter their first competition. We get it. That’s why U.S. Pet Pro Classic puts a strong emphasis on encouraging beginners.

Our Beginner- to Intermediate-level Division was created for groomers who want to grow, but might feel nervous stepping into the spotlight. Judges are trained to offer supportive feedback and help you improve in a non-intimidating way, and we offer a "Best First-timer Award!
